Yearcap is run by Róbert Nikulásson (Lucency), Iceland. Questions or requests: robert@lucency.dev.
If you’re a maker
- If you sign in, we keep your name, email and profile picture from GitHub or Google, so your campaigns stay yours.
- When you pay, Polar handles the payment. We never see your card details.
Your users’ data
- The file you upload is stored so each user’s story can be shown. For this data, you decide what is collected and why, and we only process it for you.
- When you ask for AI-written cards, we send only your column names and a few number ranges to Anthropic (Claude). No user’s row is ever sent.
- Each story link is private and unguessable. The share page shows only the summary card, and only if the user shares it.
- Deleting a campaign from its dashboard removes every row and link right away.
People who open a story
We count opens, finished stories, shares and clicks as plain totals per campaign. We don’t set tracking cookies or build profiles of viewers.
Who helps us run Yearcap
- Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database), in the United States.
- Anthropic, for AI-written cards (column names only).
- Polar, for payments.
- GitHub and Google, if you sign in with them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, fix, or delete what we hold about you. If you’re in Iceland or the EEA, you can also complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd).
